Troop 218 has 6 scouts tapped out for OA at Camp Bowers Summer Camp
During Summer Camp this June, we had the following scouts tapped to become members of the Klahican Lodge of OA. The ceremony was held on the serene & windless shore of Lake Katherine at Camp Bowers, Wed, June 22nd. We extend our congratulations to the following OA candidates:

Klahican Lodge Welcomes 3 new OA Members from Troop 218
At the Sept. 2010 OA Fellowship weekend @ Camp Bowers 3 new members of our troop were selected for the honor of OA membership. These scouts were A. Blaisdell, C. Hinton & J. Smith. Congratulations & Good Luck!

Congratulations C. Goslee on being selected as
OA Arrowman of the Year!
At this past OA Conclave, Nov. 13th, 2010, C. Goslee, Vice Chief of Activities, and Sr. Patrol Leader of Troop 218 was selected as Arrowman of the year of the Klahican Lodge OA. This award is only earned by one member of the Klahican Lodge annually & is obviously an extremely prestigous honor.

Pedzwaters are awarded OA Founders Award!
Mason & Joe Pedzwater of Troop 218 were co-awarded the OA Founders Award November 2009. This distinction is presented to the two lodge members whom have made outstanding contribution to the Klahican Lodge.
We're extremely proud of both Mason & Joe and wish to congratulate and thank them both!

Troop 218 has been extremely active in the Klahican Lodge of the Order or the Arrow. At both the scout and leader level we have helped lead this lodge with such postions as officers and the Ceremonies team. The Klahican Lodge of the Order of the Arrow was chartered on January 22, 1946. J. D. Barnes was the first lodge chief. The first initiations and formation of the lodge took place during the weekend of February 23 & 24, 1946 at Camp Singletary. Klahican Lodge has been the council’s camping honor society since this time.
