Boy Scout Troop 218

Coastal District, Cape Fear Council,
Wilmington, NC  USA
Personal Checklist
Troop 218 goes on all types of camping trips from lightweight backpacking to car camping to boat access camping to week-long summer camp.  Each of these types of camping has different needs.  With this in mind we've created a standard list of items that should be packed on each trip (on the left column below) and then an activity specific list (on the right column below).  Remember, we practice Leave No Trace camping wherever we go!

Parents: Please allow your scout to pack his own gear.  Otherwise:
  • 1)He won't learn how to do it.
  • 2)He won't know what he has or needs.
  • 3)He won't know what he's missing.
If you see anything we've missed, please let us know.
Thanks & enjoy your time in the Great Outdoors!

Please note that electronics such as cell phones or ipods, gameboys, etc. are not allowed on trips.

Perhaps print this list and place it in the top pocket of your backpack, so it's always where you need it!
