Nite-Ize Reflective Cords

These cords can be used for tent guide lines or any other campsite use and have reflective threads intertwined so that with a light source they are visible.  Avoid night time accidents to both people and gear, when these are used.  The company offers many other convenience items for camping, outdoor activities or just life in general.
Nite-Ize Reflective Cords Nite-Ize products.

Camping & Backpacking Hammocks

...have had a tremendous surge in popularity.  Why?  They usually weigh at least 50-60% less than a comparable tent.  They are comfortable, dry (with a tarp) and extremely easy to rig.  Here are great articles from both Scouting Magazine & Outside Magazine describing the pros, cons, features and some of the better reviewed models.  Enjoy and pack light, but "Be Prepared".  The choice is yours!

Headlamps.....
One of the simplest, but most essential gear items that scouts use nightly is the handless version of the flashlight, known as a "headlamp". This small & relatively inexpensive piece of equipment gives scouts (or any others) the freedom to use both hands in the dark, like a coalminer, instead of having to hold their flashlight. Using the headband to attach the headlamp aound your head, the beam is directed exactly where you are looking. For better clarity, attach on top of a ball cap or visor. The bill keep the beam from getting into your eyes! Small, lightweight, LED bright & usually run on a couple AAA batteries, you can find them anywhere from KMart or Dicks to Outdoor Provision Co. or your local hardware store anywhere from $8-$500.
